Synakis Welcomed into Ontario Genomics’ BioCreate Program, Securing $150,000 in Funding

Synakis has been selected as one of eight biotech companies to join Cohort 6/7 of the BioCreate Program. The 18-month accelerator program provides $150,000 in seed funding.

BioCreate is Ontario Genomics’ business accelerator, supporting biotech startups. In addition to seed funding, start-ups will receive business mentorship, access to critical infrastructure and introductions to potential investors.

The BioCreate Program is part of a five-year, $5.6-million investment from the Government of Canada, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), to help biotech companies commercialize their game-changing solutions in food and agriculture, health, and cleantech.
