Synakis Co-Founder & CSO Molly Shoichet Wins Terrence Donnelly Innovation Award

Synakis Co-Founder & CSO Molly Shoichet has been selected as a winner of the 2025 Terrence Donnelly Innovation Award. The $250,000 award will provide research support for the development of a hydrogel that could change eye surgery. Professor Shoichet’s ongoing research in this area has been instrumental in the advancement of Synakis. The award will contribute to the ongoing development of this technology in The Shoichet Lab and will complement Synakis’ commercialization efforts.

The Terrence Donnelly Innovation Award provides funding to support proof-of-concept research projects focused on accelerating the commercialization of cutting-edge research with the promise of significant socio-economic impacts.
